M.U.S.D. Agree to do More After Round 1
MUSD students, faculty, and parents joined together during the Help the Children Volunteer Days to build over 600 Love Carton Food Boxes using the food they collected during the 1st Annual War on Hunger Food Drive held September and October 2009.
Over 60 MUSD volunteers representing the Montebello Council PTA, Montebello Unified School District, Leo’s Club of Bell Gardens High School, Rio Hondo College, Shurr High School, and Potrero Heights Elementary, built Love Carton Food Boxes on Saturday, November 7, and Saturday, November 21, in preparation for the upcoming Holiday Season.
Linda Camacho, President of the Montebello Council PTA states “ Being here with the students and other volunteers, is a very rewarding experience. Watching the progress of the food drive from the beginning, which was collecting the food, to the point of actually making the food boxes for needy families in our community is worth every minute we all volunteered. “
THANK YOU Montebello Unified School District for your continued support of Help the Children and the War on Hunger!
